Stewartfield, East Kilbride

Stewartfield is an area of the Scottish new town East Kilbride, in South Lanarkshire.
It is an upmarket residential area in the northern half of the town, but has no local primary schools and poor public transport links, as the area is planned for car commuters, with typically large numbers of cars per population for the area.
It is the site of a large supermarket, and of the James Hamilton Heritage Park which includes an artificial boating loch.
