Stevin Hoover

Stevin R. Hoover (born October 10, 1948) is a financial investor and former writer for worth and Forbes magazine. He has also appeared on bloomberg financial news and CNN.
From 1989 to 2001 he was a financial manager and project investor. In 2002 he pleaded guilty to one count of a prohibited transaction when charges were brought to him by the Securities and Exchange Commission. His criminal misconduct occured while CEO of the company he founded, Hoover Capital Management, Inc. and the small investment fund he also founded, Chestnut Fund LP. He was sentenced to eighteen months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. His term of supervised release is scheduled to end in April 2007.

Steven Hoover is twice divorced and has one child. He lives in Florida.
