Steven Savile

Steven Savile is a British fantasy and horror writer, editor, and publisher living in Stockholm, Sweden. His published work includes novels Laughing Boy's Shadow (2003), Dominion (2006), Inheritance (novel) (2006), and Secret Life of Colors (2006); Novella Houdini's Last Illusion (2004); short story collections Similar Monsters (2001) and Angel Road (2004); graphic novel The Fragrance of You (2005); and numerous short stories in magazines and anthologies.

Savile was a runner-up for the British Fantasy Award in 2000 and was a Writers of the Future winner in 2002.

He has edited numerous anthologies, including (with Alethea Kontis) the 2006 science fiction and fantasy anthology Elemental, a benefit anthology for children who survived the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that includes work by Arthur C. Clarke, Brian Aldiss, David Drake, Jacqueline Carey, Martha Wells, Larry Niven, Joe Haldeman, Eric Nylund, Sherrilyn Kenyon (writing as Kinley MacGregor), Stel Pavlou, Michael Marshall Smith, Sean Williams, Nina Kiriki Hoffman, Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson, and others.

Savile co-founded small press speculative fiction publisher Nyx Books with Alethea Kontis in 2005.

Savile also writes and edits Doctor Who stories for Big Finish and has written a Sláine novel for Black Flame.
