Steven Hogg (born October 1, 1985 in Bury, Greater Manchester) is an English professional football (soccer) player who currently plays for Shrewsbury Town. He is a midfielder and wears the number 17 shirt for the club.

He began his career as a trainee with Manchester United but was rejected after one year. Liverpool offered him a trial, but chose not to sign him, and Shrewsbury Town offered him a two-year contract before the start of the 2005-06 season.

He made his debut for the Shrews on the opening day defeat at home to Rochdale as a substitute. Since then he has played only occasionally, but has survived manager Gary Peters's trimming of the Shrewsbury squad and could further his career at the Shropshire club.

Peters once described Hogg as, "Glenn Hoddle with a left foot".

Hogg made 12 appearances for Shrewsbury in 2005-06, his first season with the club, but has yet to figure in any League Two games in 2006-07
