From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Stephen K. Weeks (born June 30, 1958 in Scarborough, Ontario) is a retired Canadian ice hockey goaltender.
Originally selected by the New York Rangers in the 1978 NHL Entry Draft, Weeks played parts of three seasons with the Rangers before being traded to the Hartford Whalers. He would also play for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders, and Los Angeles Kings.
During the summer of 1992, he was signed by the Washington Capitals, but never played for the parent team as he was signed specifically to leave him exposed for the 1992 NHL Expansion Draft. He would later be traded to the Ottawa Senators. Weeks retired after being a member of the Senators' roster during their inaugural season.
Since his retirement from active play, he has been a goaltending coach for many teams, most recently for the Atlanta Thrashers.
