Steve Simonsen (born 3 April 1979 in South Shields) is an English professional football goalkeeper currently playing for Stoke City.

He is currently Stoke City's first choice goalkeeper. He signed from Everton in July 2004 on a free transfer. In 2004-2005 he started 31 times for the Potters. He also appeared for England Under 21s.

He started his career at Tranmere Rovers with 42 starting appearance for their fist team in two years. He moved to Everton for £3.3 million in the summer of 1999. In his five seasons at Everton he was in the starting line-up 40 times.

Simonsen was named the Stoke City player's player of the season in 2004-2005.
