Steve J. Rosen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Steve Rosen was the policy director of AIPAC, where he worked for 23 years. He is now under indictment for receiving leaked information and has been fired by AIPAC.
He is credited for making AIPAC into the most powerful foreign policy lobby organization in the U.S. (See The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy.) Prior to Rosen's arrival at AIPAC, the lobby limited itself to Congressional advocacy. Rosen created its executive branch lobbying program which led him directly into his current troubles. Rosen is a political conservatives although he has told media outfits that his parents were "proud left-wing progressives." He has been married six times. (http://www.momentmag.com/features/jun06/2006-06_AIPAC.html) He is not to be confused with Stephen P. Rosen at Harvard who is one of the signatories to the controversial PNAC manifesto Rebuilding America's Defenses (2000).
