Steve Covino

Steve Covino ("El Covino") is a Latino disk jockey on Sirius Satellite Radio.
Steve Covino started his career as a disk jockey as the producer & and co-host of "Solid State" on WXRK K-ROCK NY (now called "Altered State" with DJ Liquid Todd on 103.5 WKTU The Beat of NY, Friday Nights @ 1am) Covino then co-hosted "K-ROCK's Hard On" with Crazy Cabbie. Finally, Covino got his own weekend show at K-ROCK wich Led him to the stratospheres of satellite radio. El Covino is now the nighttime host of SIRIUS Octane 20 (Pure Hard Rock) and is also heard nationally on "The Covino & Rich Show" on the 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. EST afternoon drive slot (then repeated from 6-10 a.m. EST) , on SIRIUS Satellite's MAXIM Radio (channel 108).
In addition to being a DJ, Covino was in the Marketing/Programming department, and worked his way up to being the head of the promotions department, and held that position for many years until he was offered a fulltime DJ position by Maxim Radio.
