Steve Brodie (actor)

Steve Brodie (born November 21, 1919 in El Dorado, Kansas; died January 9, 1992 in West Hills, California) was a movie actor, born John Stevenson. He chose the screen name of Steve Brodie (a man who allegedly jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge in the 1880s). Most of his film work was in the 1940s working at MGM, RKO and Republic Pictures starring mostly in westerns and B-movies. He appeared with Elvis Presley in Blue Hawaii (1961) and Roustabout (1964) - he was beat up by Presley in both. He was married to actress Lois Andrews in 1946. He died of cancer in West Hills, California in 1992.
