Steve Armitage

Steve Armitage (born High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England) is an English-born Canadian sports reporter for CBC Sports. He has covered such events as Hockey Night in Canada, Grey Cup, Olympics, and World Cup of Football.
Armitage won the 1982 ACTRA Foster Hewitt Award for Excellence in Sports Broadcasting and he was nominated for a Gemini Award in 1998 for his coverage of speed skating at the Winter Olympics.
Armitage attended Saint Mary's University, Halifax where he played football quarterback. He grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
