Stephen Greenhorn

Stephen Greenhorn is a Scottish television writer, born 5th September 1964 in West Lothian, Scotland.

He is the creator of the BBC Scotland soap opera River City.

He has also written for The Bill, Where The Heart Is and an episode for the forthcoming Series 3 of Doctor Who, starring David Tennant and Freema Agyeman. His adaptation of Jean Rhys's novel Wide Sargasso Sea was screened on BBC Four in 2006.

Another work in production is Sunshine on Leith, a musical based on the songs of The Proclaimers.
