Delving into the themes of crime, mystery and the culture of Native Americans, his works include The Fast Red Road: A Plainsong (2000), All the Beautiful Sinners (2003), The Bird is Gone: A Manifesto (2003), Bleed Into Me: A Book of Stories (2005) and Demon Theory (2006).
