Stephen Evans

Stephen Evans (b. 27th November 1970 in Clwyd, North Wales) is a British actor and comedy writer of theater, film and television.

Member of four-man comedy sketch group Dutch Elm Conservatoire. Nominated for the Perrier Award at the 2005 Edinburgh fringe festival for the show Dutch Elm Conservatoire in Conspiracy.

Stephen graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre at Dartington College of Arts in Devon,1995. He has appeared in various productions for BBC television including; Vine in Hyperdrive, Nighty Night, My Family, Holby City and most recently Fear of Fanny by Brian Fillis, directed by Coky Giedroyc for BBC 4. Stage work includes a 24hr play called The Warp with director/performer Ken Campbell. Also Stephen wrote and performed in a sketch troupe called The Benders. Film work includes, Dust, Spivs, Antmuzak, Blakes junction 7,Shooters and World of Wrestling by Tim Plester to be released in late 2006. He has also written for shows such as Revolver and Velvet Soup for BBC Scotland and BBC Radio 1's late night comedy The Milk Run. Stephen performed at the 2006 Edinburgh fringe festival with The Dutch Elm Conservatoire in a show entitled 'Prison'. Stephen has recently completed a second series of Hyperdrive which will screen around April 2007 on BBC television where he will reprise his role as Vine.
