Stephen Caudel was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. He attended the City of Leeds College of Music and it was here that he first started to be drawn to progressive or symphonic rock.

His first symphony was Wine Dark Sea (sponsored by Capital Radio) and was premiered at London's Victoria Palace with the Wren Orchestra conducted by Louis Clark of "Hooked on Classics" and ELO fame.

After Wine Dark Sea came the demand for live performances and over the years Stephen toured extensively in Britain and overseas, including 3 nights at the Royal Albert Hall as Special Guest of Art Garfunkel.

The Earth in Turquoise' is Stephen's latest symphonic rock composition, now available on CD via his own Dark Sea Records label. In addition it has been featured extensively on the Virgin FM Rock Show.

The Edel rhapsody was written for the Wagner tuba.

Stephen currently lives in Cumbria where he splits his time between music and designing web sites.
