Stephany Smith is the head women's basketball coach at the University of Alabama. She replaced the legendary basketball coach Rick Moody, and became only the school's 7th basketball coach. Prior to becoming head coach, she led Middle Tennessee State to an impressive 153-88 record.

Her Middle Tennessee State teams have had back-to-back 24 win seasons, and captured Sun Belt Conference crowns.
