Stellar Kart

Stellar Kart is a four piece Christian pop punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The band is signed to Word Records and released its first CD in February 2005. Some of the singles from their debut album, All Gas. No Brake - including "Finish Last" and "Life is Good" - have been played on Christian radio stations such as Air 1. Their latest album, We Can't Stand Sitting Down was released on July 25, 2006.

They derived their band name from riding go-karts on a youth trip. Their name is often abbreviated SK, as seen in the band's music videos to "Activate" and "Life is Good".

Stellar Kart has been interviewed in CCM Magazine several times. The band recently appeared on the cover of Awake Magazine. They were also interviewed on the television show TMW (on the television channel TVU Music Television).

Stellar Kart has been an opening act for bands such as Kutless. For a long time, the band remained an opening act.

The band's first headliner tour started on December 1, 2006. They decided to call it the Punk The Halls Tour. Stellar Kart toured the county with two other pop punk bands for this Christmas tour, Run Kid Run and Eleventyseven. The tour lasted throughout the month of December.

Stellar Kart is definitely becoming a real sucess. In fact, the band has even been scheduled to appear on the main stage of Creation 2007, the nation's top Christian music festival. Only very sucessful bands ever achieve this, and there is a certain status that comes with it.
