Steinert High School

Steinert High School (also called Hamilton High School East) is a four year comprehensive public high school, one of three secondary high schools that are part of the Hamilton Township Public Schools, located in Hamilton Township in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The other high schools in the district are Nottingham High School (Hamilton High School North) and Hamilton High School (Hamilton High School West). As of 2006, the school enrolls approximately 1,625 students. Their school mascot is the Spartan.

Steinert offers Advanced Placement Program (AP) courses in AP United States History, AP European History, AP Computer Science, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP English Literature and Composition, AP United States Government and AP Calculus.

The Steinert High School Spartans compete in the thirteen-member Colonial Valley Conference. Steinert has an above-average athletic history, most prominently in Cross country (boys), soccer (boys and girls), and baseball.
Steinert's 1966 Football team (9-0-0) will go down in Mercer County history as one of the best.
Its boys soccer team, dominant in the 60's and 70's, has enjoyed moderate success in recent years. The girls soccer team is considered a top program in the state.
The baseball team reached its pinnacle in 2000 and 2001, featuring three top-flight pitchers and rising to a nationally-ranked status. It is still a top team in the state, taking home the 2006 Group IV title.
The cross-country team was at its best in the 80's and early 90's, winning several sectional and state titles.

- a music program - The marching unit as well as the Jazz Band consistently produces top scores in competitions.
