Stegosaurides (meaning "roof lizard form") was a genus of ankylosaurid (or possibly stegosaurian) dinosaur. It lived during the Late Cretaceous. Its fossils have been found in the Xinminbao Formation near Heishan in Gansu Province in China.
[edit] Discovery and species
The type species is Stegosaurides excavatus, formally described by Birger Bohlin in 1953. It is currently a nomen dubium as there is material is meagre; a couple of vertebrae and the base of a dermal spine.
