Steevi Jaimz
Steevi Jaimz and Ace Finchum are the two founding members of the British Glam Rock band Steevi Jaimz Tigertailz. Steevi Jaimz is the lead singer of the group and is also a solo artist in his own right. In the mid-1980's, he was the 3rd lead vocalist for the Cardiff-based band, Tigertailz replacing Phil Harling and Jim Dovey. At his suggestion, Steevi's friend Ace Finchum was hired as the band's drummer.
Together, they recorded Shoot To Kill, Young And Crazy, and Original Sin[1].
However, irreconcilable differences within the band led to Steevi's departure, whereupon he embarked on a solo career.
The first post-Tigertailz project recorded by Steevi Jaimz was the Kick The Habit EP. This was followed by Damned If I Do ... Damned If I Don't, an album-length recording which included all the tracks from the Kick The Habit EP, plus music from an additional solo project, Jaimz Gang.
Since then, 1980's Glam Rock has undergone a revival in certain parts of Europe. With Ace Finchum once again available to play drums, Steevi and Ace have taken the opportunity to rekindle the magic of the early Tigertailz recordings, whilst also looking to the future. Their former bandmates opting not to participate, Steevi Jaimz and Ace Finchum have joined forces with guitarist Greg Karnage and bassist Darayuz Kaye to form the group Steevi Jaimz Tigertailz.
However, the rock group Wazbones has resurfaced using the Tigertailz name as well. The abandonment of this name was announced in 1995 by Wazbones bassist Pepsi Tate on the television program "Raw Power", also known as "Noisy Mothers". Steevi had asked all the original members to regroup as Tigertailz to promote the release of Original Sin after he was contacted by the album's promoter, but only Ace Finchum agreed.
