Steak for Chicken (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Steak for Chicken is a song by The Moldy Peaches off their debut album, The Moldy Peaches. The song utilizes ironic lyrics in a simple AABB rhyming scheme. However, the strength of the song lies in its vocals, which are sung simultaneously by Kimya Dawson and Adam Green. Initially, the lyrics line up exactly, so the two are singing almost in unison. However, as the song develops, the singers each begin telling a different story simultaneously, often to hilarious effect. At various points along the way, including all of the choruses, the two "songs" coincide, which creates an additional element of surprise once the two vocal tracks deviate again.
