Steady flow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Steady flow is a type of liquid flow in which
- The liquid flow is smooth and uniform.
- The velocity of the fluid at a point remains constant with respect to time.
- The streamlines do not cross each other.
- Eulerian Velocity is time independent
The Reynolds number can be used to determine the state of fluid flow.
- Re < 1000 - Steady Flow
- 1000 < Re < 2000 - Unsteady Flow
- Re > 2000 - Turbulent Flow
