STEGAL

STEGAL is a German natural gas pipeline for Russian gas import, which connects the Czech and Slovakian natural gas pipeline grids at Olbernhau in the Free State of Saxony to the MIDAL pipeline. The construction of STEGAL started in 1991 and the pipeline was completed in 1992. The length of STEGAL is 320 kilometers and the diameter of pipe is 800 mm. In 1999, the JAGAL pipeline was connected with STEGAL at Rückersdorf. In March 2006, the 97 kilometer-long STEGAL Loop was connected to the grid. STEGAL is operated by Wingas.
