The pseudonym "StAkAr" invokes the enigmatic 'Starhawk,' who was known for his unique insight into the 'big picture,' often acting in a manner bizarre to his comrades but intended to serve the greater good. "Karnak", a member of the 'Inhumans,' was noted for his uncanny ability to perceive flaws in any object and how best to exploit them. A case-sensitive rendering is preferred ("StAkAr" as opposed to "Stakar"), both to distuinguish himself from his fictional namesake and because it's that much more dramatic.

SK served on the Board of Directors of the The Marvel Chronology Project from 2000-2002. His interests include animals, art (sequential and otherwise), bodybuilding & fitness, history, religion, and string theory. An occasional hobby is researching Killraven and the Guardians of the Galaxy. He has been a Wikipedian since 13 Jul 2003.

SK's proudest achievement on Wikipedia is the series of articles that comprise a chronological list of every officially licensed Star Trek story ever released:

Chronological lists of Star Trek stories
Distant past-22nd century | 2201-TMP | TMP-2300 | 2301-2367| 2368-2371| 2372-2374 | 2375-distant future
