This is part of a group of templates that are used to display astronomical information related to a specific star. It should always be preceded by a {{Starbox begin}} template. The template can then be used as follows:

  prop_mo_ra=Proper motion (RA) |
  prop_mo_dec=Proper motion (dec) |
  pos_ang=Position angle |
  parallax=Parallax |
  p_error=Parallax error |
  absmag_v=Resulting absolute magnitude }}

In addition, the following optional parameters are computed if they are not set:

  dist_ly=Distance in light years |
  dist_pc=Distance in parsecs |

This template can also be preceded or followed by other Starbox templates:

• {{Starbox visbin}}
• {{Starbox detail}}
• {{Starbox catalog}}
• {{Starbox reference}}

The list should then be closed with a {{Starbox end}} template.
