who is this Violet? I don't recall reading about this character in the manga.

Thats becuase you haven't. So far nobody has been able to provide a source for Violet. Pending another thouruogh analysis af the manga I intend to remove his/her name from the board on the basis of that character being fictional or being from a different series (like Dragonball).
