Stawley

Stawley is a village and parish in Somerset, England, situated ten miles west of Taunton in the Taunton Deane district. The parish has a population of 305 . The village has a population of approximately 30 and was recorded in the Doomsday Book of 1086. The soil consists of clay, with a subsoil of sandstone and limestone. The village has a high density of rare flora and fauna, including 8 species of endangered birds. The village church register dates from 1528.
