Stavros Niarchos III

Stavros Niarchos III (b. 17 April 1985) is the son of Philippe Niarchos and Victoria Niarchos (née Guinness) and a great-grandson of the socialite Gloria Guinness. His namesake, grandfather Stavros Niarchos, was a rival of Aristotle Onassis.

Of Greek, Irish, Austrian, and Mexican ancestry, Stavros was born in New York, but grew up in Paris, France with his parents and younger brother and sister. He went to school in Paris with Princess Caroline's children, Andrea, Charlotte and Pierre. For his senior year of high school, Stavros attended Seabury Hall, a college prep school located in Olinda on Maui, Hawaii. After high school, Stavros attended the University of Southern California.

Stavros III is best-known for dating actresses Mary-Kate Olsen and Lindsay Lohan, and celebrity Paris Hilton. A kiteboarder, Stavros has appeared in kiteboarding DVDs and magazines. He can also be seen opposite Kate Bosworth in her January 2005 GQ magazine spread.

Stavros is a cousin of Athina Onassis. His grandmother Eugenie Niarchos and Athina's grandmother Tina Onassis were sisters, and Tina also married Stavros's grandfather upon Eugenie's death. One of his great-uncles is Aga Khan IV.
