Stavenhagen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Stavenhagen is a town in the district of Demmin, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated 28 km northwest of Neubrandenburg.
Stavenhagen is also a family name. A famous member is UN official Rodolfo Stavenhagen, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous peoples (since 2001). Another Stavenhagen, of less renown than Rodolfo, but descended directly through 13 generations from the town, is present online at [1].
