Statens Järnvägar, or the Swedish State Railways, was a former enterprise agency of the Swedish government. It was disbanded 2001 and the assets were transferred to six separate government owned limited companies:
- SJ, the passenger train operator
- Green Cargo, operates freight trains
- Jernhusen, real estate
- EuroMaint, train maintenance
- Unigrid, information technology
- TraffiCare, provides terminal services, ie train cleaning and switching
