Staten Island Academy

Staten Island Academy is a coeducational, college-preparatory day school located on a 12 acre campus on Staten Island in New York City, USA. Founded in 1884, it is the oldest private school on Staten Island, and is the only independent school in the borough. It educates students from pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade of high school. Current enrollment is approximately 450 students and and 45 teachers.
It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the New York State Association of Independent Schools as well as chartered and registered by the Board of Regents, University of the State of New York.
The Academy's mascot is the tiger, and its colors are maroon and gold. Staten Island Academy fields athletic teams in: Varsity Baseball, Varsity , Junior Varsity/Varsity Soccer, Cheerleading, Varsity, Varsity Tennis, Varsity Golf, and Varsity Lacrosse.
