[edit] Trivia
- The home and freighting office of Alexander Majors, cofounder of the Pony Express, is located at 8145 State Line Road[1]. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
- There are several schools on the Missouri side along State Line Road, such as Barstow, Pembroke Hill and Rockhurst High School. When those schools are in session, northbound traffic must follow the posted school speed limit[citation needed]. However, southbound traffic, which is in Kansas, is allowed to maintain the current speed limit while passing the schools[citation needed].
- In 2001 Leawood promoted State Line Road as "The State Line Link"[2]
