Stars of Track and Field

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stars of Track and Field is a three-piece indie pop band from Portland, Oregon, currently on the Wind-Up Records label. Their name is in reference to the Belle and Sebastian song of the same name found on If You're Feeling Sinister.[1]

The band has announced that a new album, entitled Centuries Before Love and War, has been delayed from its original release date of June 6, 2006. The reason was the band's move from SideCho to Wind-Up. The release is now planned for Spring, 2007, several tracks from it are available at Stars of Track and Field at MySpace or through iTunes.

The band is currently touring the US supporting Jeremy Enigk.
