Star of Friendship of Nations

The Star of Friendship of Nations (German: Stern der Völkerfreundschaft) was an order given in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). It was given to individuals of exceptional merit who had contributed to the "understanding and friendship between nations and preservation of peace".
It was given in three classes: a grand star in gold, a star in gold, and a star in silver.
