Since its inception in 1999, StarCite has revolutionized the way corporate meeting planners and hotels conduct business, by providing an efficient, reliable and convenient platform for meeting managers and suppliers to connect. The StarCite marketplace was created with the goal of lending organization and accountability to the meeting planning process. The marketplace allows meetings professionals to access StarCite’s database and quickly send and receive electronic RFPs. After six years in operation, the StarCite Marketplace reached the 500,000 RFP threshold. The use of on demand technology continued to accelerate and from this point, it took a mere eighteen months for StarCite to reach a new company milestone of delivering its one millionth RFP in May, 2006. Today, StarCite provides meeting management solutions for hundreds of corporations, including more than 135 large multinationals.

The design of the asterisk in the StarCite logo invokes the exchange between buyers and suppliers provided by StarCite and how they are brought together through StarCite’s on demand global meeting solutions. StarCite’s signature orange is used for all corporate communications. The asterisk in the logo appears in green for the buyer division of the company which serves the corporate meeting planning and procurement community. The asterisk appears in blue for the supplier division of the company which serves hotels, destination marketing organizations, and other meeting and event venders.
