Stand Up For Your Rights Comedy Gala

The "Stand Up For Your Rights" Comedy Gala is an annual comedy benefit night which aims to raise money and awareness for Amnesty International Australia. Each year Australia's best Comedians perform for free to help raise funds and awareness for Amnesty International Australia. The event is held at Her Majesty's Theatre, and is a favourite among Australian Comedy Fans.

The event was originaly held in Melbourne and was the brainchild of Daniel Yeow, then a 21-year-old student at the University of Melbourne. Based loosely on similar comedy nights held in the UK titled The Secret Policeman's Balls, although on a necessarily smaller scale.
