Stairmaster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stairmaster is the name of a line of exercise machines, which includes stepping machines and revolving stairs.

Their original product, the Stairmill, was introduced in 1983. The Stairmaster dual-step machine was very popular in the 1980s, but it has been somewhat supplanted by elliptical trainers, which are less stressful on the knees.

The company was acquired in 2002 by Nautilus, Inc., which produces Nautilus and Bowflex exercise machines.
