[edit] Biography

"A band only known by a select few people, Stabat Mater, got high underground acclaim for their split with fellow underground legends Worship. While Worship became better known Stabat Mater represents the same high quality tortured suicidal funeral doom. Dark, twisted, slow beyond reason and utterly depressive. Stabat Mater is one of the better acts out there, and does not deserve to remain so unknown as they have been to this date. Only releasing on vinyl has however added to their mystique and is another reason why this band remains largely unknown. They can also be described as unhuman and sadistic Funeral Doom." from Doom-Metal.com
