He classifies ancient parishes as those that date to 1597 or earlier, so no it isn't. It appears that St Luke (or St Luke's Middlesex) is the civil parish, while the ecclesiastical parish is (was) Old Street St Luke.Lozleader 08:30, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

On this basis, should the category be renamed to historic? Or will this cause it to be incorrect for other parishes contained within? Mrsteviec 08:51, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Ancient and historic parishes? That would get around the problem. Although it does smack of "ancient and geographic" :-) Lozleader 09:05, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
