St Matthias, Bristol

St Matthias, (known to its students as St Matts), is a campus of the University of the West of England, and is located in the suburb of Fishponds in Bristol. It houses the university's faculty of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences. The campus has some attractive Victorian buildings, and is set around a quad. It also has a refectory, a gymnasium, and a bar in which various music events are staged.
As home to the School of Drama, several small theatre companies exist on the campus. The Regional History Centre is also based at St Matthias, and consists primarily of members of the Faculty of Humanities' School of History.
The campus was previously a teacher training college. It is a grade II* listed building (St Matthias' College at Images of England) and the Lodge is listed Grade II (Lodge to St Matthias' College at Images of England).
