St George's Hall, Bradford

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

St George's Hall is a Victorian building which occupies a prominent corner site in the centre of Bradford, England. Despite considerable investment in the 1980s, the Hall is in need of renovation and the Council has announced that it is committed to developing the hall as Bradford's main concert hall. This is somewhat controversial, as while St George's Hall is ideal for classical music, a newer hall might have been better suited to other types of music as regards acoustics (reverberation time) and seating capacity.
