St. Fidelis College, Lucknow is a Catholic school [1] established in 1977. It is affiliated to the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and ISC boards [2][3]. The school is located in Vikas Nagar/Aliganj area of Lucknow and is one of the most reputed schools in trans-gomti area. It is a co-educational institution and has grown over the years, adding XI th and XII th standard classes in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Currently it offers Maths, Biology and Commerce streams in the ISC section (XI-XII). The medium of instruction from Kindergarten (K.G I) to Class XII is English while Hindi is a compulsory subject till Class X.

The course of studies mainly includes English Language and Literature, Hindi Language and Literature, Sanskrit, History, Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Training (PT), Socially Useful & Productive Work (SUPW), Singing, Computer Science, Art, Commerce, Accountancy and Economics.

During summers, boys are required to wear steel grey colored trousers with white shirt, black leather shoes with grey socks, school tie and belt. Girls are required to wear a steel grey colored skirt with a white blouse, black leather shoes, grey socks and tie and belt. In winters, the students are required to wear dark grey woollen trousers/skirt and a navy blue blazer with the school monogram.

Each house has its own "house t-shirt" that is worn on Saturdays. The t-shirt is color coded with the color of each house (green, red, blue or yellow).

Every student in the school is assigned to one of the four houses (listed below) at the time of admission.

  • Victory House (Green)
  • Joy House (Red)
  • Peace House (Blue)
  • Glory House (Yellow)

There are year round intramural competitions in sports (football, basketball, cricket, badminton and table tennis and atheletics), debating, elocution, quizzes and other extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. These are held separatley at the sub-junior, junior and senior levels.
