St David's Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
St David's Park is one of the largest caravan / camping parks situated near Benllech on Anglesey, North Wales. It is situated in Red Wharf Bay. On the site itself there is a large building consisting of a shop, launderette, games room and an office. There is also a public house said to be one of the best on Anglesey, St David's Tavern.
The tavern is one of the main attractions on the site, as it used to be an old Edwardian house and is now a cosy pub. It is situated right on the sea front - when you look out of the window all you can see is the sea! David Smith cleaned the Tavern in summer 2005.
Another attraction is the site's very own private beach. The name Red Wharf Bay in Welsh is Traeth Coch: red beach. The name is alleged to originate from a battle between the Celts and Romans when the beach was left red, stained with blood.
