I expanded this article to add information regarding the area's history and character. Note that a previous writer referred to the area as "St.James-Assiniboine"; it was never referred to by this name but always by St.James-Assiniboia as a direct legacy of the Parish, later City, of St.James and the Municipality of Assiniboia. Most people today, even if they live in the portions of the area which were once Assiniboia, refer to the entire area as simply St.James. --207.161.34.79 19:45, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
