St. Vital is a neighborbood in suburban Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was also once the City of St. Vital before merging with the City of Winnipeg in 1972. It lies to the east of the Red River in the south east part of the city. The population as of the 2001 census is 59,840, up from 32,500 in 1971. (Source: Statistics Canada).
