St. Joseph Higher Secondary School (Dhaka)

St. Joseph High School is a Catholic secondary school located at Asad Avenue, Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Since 1999, the school is recognized by the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka, Bangladesh as St. Joseph Higher Secondary School

It was established as "St. Joseph English Medium School" in 16 Monir Hossain Lane, Narinda in the old section of Dhaka in 1954 by the Congregation of Holy Cross missionaries. The school moved to its present site in 1965.

Currently, it is run under the supervision of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dhaka. It is considered one of the top schools of the country, in terms of its success in public examinations.

Instead of Section 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C etc, St. Joseph traditionally uses names for its sections of different grades. There are three sections for each grade (3 - 10). Below is an incomplete list:

St. Joseph boasts one of the best high school lab facilities in the country. Many external schools and educational institutions such as the British Council pay fees to use the facilities when they are not being used by St. Joseph's students.
