St. Charles West High School (SCW) is one of two schools providing secondary education for grades 9–12 in the St. Charles School district, St. Charles, Missouri. (The other is St. Charles High School). As of 2006 the school had 1033 students and 66.7 full-time teachers, for a 15.5:1 student-teacher radio.

  • In 1995 the school's basketball team (The Warriors) won the Missouri state basketball title. That team featured Ryan and Troy Robertson, two players who went on to notable college basketball careers.
  • State titles have also come in wrestling, boys' track, and girls' cross-country.
  • The music program at St Charles West has shown only success.


The choir, while not being highly competitive, generally places first at the competitions they do attend. most recently went to Chicago where they placed first, and took Grand Champion. Their next trip will be to Florida for which they have high hopes.


In the past 10 years alone, the Marching Warriors have placed first in the following local contests; the Greater St. Louis Marching Festival (Finals: 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002), Ozarko (Finals: 2005, 2000), Lafayette Contest of Champions (Prelims: 2002, 1999, 1997), Francis Howell Invitational (Finals: 2005 Prelims: 2005) as well as taking first place at several out-of-state marching festivals. The marching band is also noted for making finals at nearly every contest, and has been a well-respected, well-known band in the St. Louis area for years. The Marching Warriors were named the Grand Champions of the 2005-2006 Toyota Gator Bowl Marching Competition in field show and parade route. Here they swept every caption title available including: best visual, best marching, best music, best color guard, and best percussion.

The Marching Warriors were also one of only 6 select bands to be invited to march in the Parade celebrating the St. Louis Cardinals 2006 World Series win.
