Sean Ripple is a multimedia artist from Austin, TX. Working from an uninformed/self-taught perspective gives Sean the freedom to explore all forms of creative expression. Sometimes called amateurish, his work is impulsive and improvisational in nature.

Sean's paintings and drawings have exhibited at Arthouse, Gallery Lombardi, Progress Coffee, streets and walls around the world and may be seen on his website, FlatLife.net.

As a musician, Sean has spent the last five years as the vibraphonist/percussionist for The American Analog Set. Playing the drums since the age of 12, he will always tell you that he considers himself a drummer first and foremost.

As a filmmaker, Sean has directed three short films – Of Course, Isobel and Lost Not Found – and has acted in one – Santa Ana. His short non-narrative video work has played before major motion pictures at the Alamo Drafthouse/Lake Creek. Additionally, Sean is the founder of the TriPartIte Film Festival, an Austin film festival whose proceeds benefit charity.

His writings have been published by Siglamag.com, Getunderground.com and .410.com (now defunct). A book of his short writings entitled, Episodic Attempts for Interim Respect is being self-published and will initially be released as a limited pressing of 60 copies in March 2006. He hopes that one day he will be able to quit his job as an administrative assistant at an accounting office, affording him the time to work exclusively on his art projects.
