Sreekariyam

Sreekariyam is a suburb of Thiruvananthapuram city in Kerala, India. It is located approximately 10 kilometres north of central Thiruvananthapuram, beside National Highway 47. With the northward expansion of Thiruvananthapuram city, Sreekariyam has become a bustling urban center, and is now home to a few excellent educational institutions, a major research institute, local business establishments and major recent real estate ventures.

Sreekariyam is well connected to Thiruvananthapuram city and the rest of Kerala by road. It is situated beside National Highway 47, one of Kerala's busiest roads. The buses of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) are the main means of conveyance. KSRTC's intra-city and long distance buses have designated stops in Sreekariyam, making it a very busy and often congested junction.

The nearest railway station is the minor one at Kazhakuttom, about 6 kilometres to the north. Thiruvananthapuram's major railway station, Trivandrum Central, is about 10 kiometres to the south.

The Trivandrum International Airport at Thiruvananthapuram is just 11 kilometres to the south of Sreekariyam.
