SR-71 is an American pop-punk band that was formed in Baltimore, Maryland. They are best known for their 2000 single "Right Now" and credited as the authors of Bowling For Soup's 2004 hit "1985". The name of the band came from SR-71 Blackbird, a retired supersonic surveillance aircraft of the United States Air Force.

Mitch is the only member to appear on all three released albums. The original drummer was Dan Garvin. He was only on for the first album and left to join a band called Nine Days for a short time. Dan was then replaced by John Allen. The original lead guitarist and bassist were Mark Beauchemin and Jeff Reid respectively. They were on for the first two albums and both left after the promotional tour for the second album "Tomorrow". Not too long after, Jeff died of cancer. The new guitarist to replace Mark was Pat DeMent and Jeff was replaced by the youngster Mike Ruocco.
