The Squier Bullet is an electric guitar that emulates the Fender Stratocaster and Squier Stratocaster, but with modifications to reduce cost and increase affordability. Like the Squier Stratocaster, it is not considered a strat copy as it is manufactured by Squier, a subsidiary of Fender and therefore still retained under the Fender brand name.
[edit] Construction
The solid body of a Squier Bullet is made of agathis, a relatively inexpensive tonewood. Its shape is similar to that of a Stratocaster with the characteristic mid-body contour and staggered double cut-outs, but is made slightly thinner The fingerboard is exclusively made from rosewood. It also does not come with a tremolo as most Stratocasters do, the bridge instead being replaced by a hardtail. The pickups are three machine-wound single-coil pickups.
[edit] Special Edition
A special edition of the Squier Bullet comes with a blue metallic instead of baltic blue finish, a black instead of white pickguard, and a single humbucker pickup located in the bridge position instead of three single-coil pickups. It also replaces the volume knob, two tone knobs and five-way switch with a single black volume knob.
